If I make coffee, and then pour that coffee back into the coffee machine and brew new coffee using the original coffee instead of water, do I get 2 x coffee? Or coffee squared? And, after reading it 8 times in a row, doesn't the word coffee start to look funny?

Where this relates to coffee is that I'm not certain the brewed coffee could reach a high enough temperature and solubility to release the caffeine (and coffee flavor) from the new beans, due to the coffee (and caffeine molecules) obviously being in solution. It depends on the saturation point of caffeine and coffee in water.
Which you should investigate. In someone else's coffee pot.
Like <a href="http://www.myscienceproject...">these people</a> did with Jello shots and vodka.
